Choices

By Huracan

The night had come the body rested
Meanwhile the mind to the heart protested

Why do your ventures continue to destroy that which I constantly erect and rebuild?
I mean no harm. I seek only to ensure that our life’s destiny is somehow fulfilled

Every choice that you’ve made, every instinct that you chose to follow, has lead to emptiness, left us shattered and feeling hollow.
My relentless efforts as illogical as they may appear, has brought us companionship, warmth and yes the occasional tear.

Occasional tear? Is that what you call it when you curl up go hide? Meanwhile I must put a false front while you toil with the turbulence inside.
I admit I have made poor choices in the past. Putting trust in another makes one vulnerable, but this is how we test, if what we have is strong and will last.

Madness! This, what you do over and over, what you try to attain, borders on insanity.
Call it what you will, but these acts, the need to love and be loved, are what define humanity

Have you ever pause to ask, if what you do is what is best for us all? We all suffer when you fail, the body, the mind and you; the heart most of all.
Would you rather I not pursue love and companionship? Would you have us live as though our existence has already ended? The need to find the other half of what makes us whole, is the very purpose of life only infinitely transcended.

All right go on, I’m listening defend your last choice.
You speak as though you have forgotten the warmth that was the sound of her voice.

Fair enough, she was very beautiful and at the time, she was the pinnicle of the happiness we have ever known in this life.
Even though she’s gone, could you say that in her I made a poor choice? Go ahead, I dare you to try to choke that lie through our voice.

I have thought out every possible scenario by which she could have stayed. I would have pushed this body to its limits to make the age difference go away.
She was the bright light that saw us through our darkest hour. To try and hold her when she was ready to go, would have been so wrong, akin to the act of a coward.

We would have been completely lost, completely broken, had it not been that heaven’s token.

My last choice is what eventually saved me. My last choice was an angel, and her name Jamie.

Mind-
*tears began to flow…

Heart -
I miss her so.

Who is she?

-By Huracan

In the forums she seem happy, cheerful and so very sweet
In command she is driven, willful and refuses to be beat

I cannot for the life of me figure her out.
Who are you Jennifer? And what are you about?

What is her reason for being so purposeful in this MMO.
Who or what are you hiding from in this place we call WOW?

Who is this woman who seems to be such a contradiction of personalities?
I’ve had heard say more then once, that earning a spot is more then just a formality

She leads a rowdy bunch of raiders she calls Premonition
Attempting to join up with her and her bunch, could never be a lightly decision

They are relentless, purposeful and can certainly be called hardcore
Once you raided with them you will be sucked in and will always be screaming for more

Don’t click on her link don’t bother to apply.
Unless you’ll be bringing your A game to raid boss inside

They are not for the timid or for the faint of heart
When pounding some Vashj you best do you part.

Don’t be shy on Ventrilo you best call out them adds
If you don’t you’ll find yourself gone, she’s done booted your ass

May be its time to stop trying to figure her out
Can any mortal ever truly understand what any woman is about?

Oh no, it seems I’ve dropped the ball,
My name angrily she is bound to call

My turn to click the cube and I’m dead,
I’ve should have just logged went off to bed

Now this intriguing, and driven woman is yelling, at me?
Why oh why, did I ever stop to ask: Quinnie, who is she?

No Longer Chosen

-By Huracan *through an alias, this is an original work

How does one win a woman's heart?
Common folk say "Be brave, be honorable and be ambitious.
You be wise to brand them all fools. What they spout is clearly fictitious.
A mortal who thinks that a man chooses a woman, or is given one because of his status or mastery
Well, I present to you a fool, who lies to himself and true love is his enemy

They are never won over with brave words or promises of heroic actions,
they are not that simplistic
They chose us long before we choose them,
humbling it be, but more realistic

You can offer castles, sweet melodies or just boast your prowess and might
be a wiser choice to humbly offer together, conquering the chill of night
Choose the proud path at your peril, for if you do
fate may laugh at you

Years ago when she was about to walk way, for no real reason it seemed
I inscribed words of love and read them aloud, waiting for her to face beam
She smiled and she kissed me, while her tears flowed for all to see
Although while confirming, with me, she could no longer be

Being without her haunted me for hundreds of days.
How to leave this world early, I imagined many ways.

My soul felt cold, my heart seemed frozen
Til that fateful day, when I discovered
Never replaced, just no longer chosen.

Where has she gone?

-By Huracan

Many days have passed, many lives have expired
Souls become dust, their energies exhausted like logs in a fire
My eyes have grown weary from scouring the horizon
For love, for passion, for the woman who might have this poor bison

Where has she gone, no word has been left
Perhaps she found love, while my soul alone wept
Does she fear me or worse, abhor me?
Am I a fool, should I simply let her be?

Come my love, lets us gamble against insurmountable odds
Embrace the destiny prewritten and willed by the gods

Disrobe, remove thy armor, and cast aside thy shield
Fear not child,
Love is the pinnacle power two souls can wield.

Will you dare accept my hand, dare welcome my embrace?
Allow your being in my arms, be set ablaze.

Though there may be a vision, of a future haunted by the past
Our children will triumph and forge a peace, at long last.
Factions rise while kingdoms fall, because foolish mortals seek to conquer all.

There is no malice in my thoughts or actions;
I care not of men or their feeble Factions.
Samora, come take my hand, become one with me
Let the future unfold, let our sons and daughters be

The response

-By Huracan (an original I believe)

My dearest angel, I'm sorry but we cannot be
I will not stand idle while you renounce your Faction, for all to see.

Our love we cannot fuel, our passions we cannot express
No matter how tempting you may be, in a wedding dress.

In my heart you will always reside
Nothing Azeroth can ever force my feelings for you aside.

March ownward fair lady,
Continue your tanking journey my love,
Tank with passion and rage,
While looking as innocent as a dove

If flagged you ever be
The thrust of my sword is simply an expression of love for thee.
if by skill you parry me
Dumb luck, I failed to marry thee.
